日本政府観光局（JNTO）は、国際会議の意義の普及啓発や更なる推進を図るため、2008年度より国際会議の誘致・開催におけるベストプラクティスを表彰し、その功績と努力を称えています。
今回、2019年度中に誘致・開催された国際会議の中から、「筑波会議2019」が特別賞を受賞いたしました。
筑波会議が、研究学園都市の特徴を生かした新しいコンセプトの会議として開催された点などを評価頂いたものです。
筑波会議2019の開催にあたり、多大なるご支援、ご協力を賜りました参加者並びに関係者の皆様に、改めて深く御礼申し上げます。
なお、筑波会議2021は、2021年9月21日（月）～30日（木）に、つくば国際会議場及びオンライン形式にて開催予定です。
2021年2月25日(木）日本政府観光局(JNTO)からの表彰状が、つくば観光コンベンション協会 星野弘事務局長から、永田恭介筑波会議委員会委員長に手渡されました。

The Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) has been honoring best practices in attracting and hosting international conferences since fiscal year 2008, in order to promote and further raise awareness of the significance of international conferences, and to recognize their achievements and efforts.
This year, the Tsukuba Conference 2019 received a special award from among the international conferences invited and held during fiscal year 2019.
The award was given in recognition of the fact that the Tsukuba Conference was held with a new concept that takes advantage of the characteristics of the Tsukuba Science City.
We would like to express our sincere appreciation to all the participants and related parties for their support and cooperation in organizing the Tsukuba Conference 2019.
Tsukuba Conference 2021 is to be held from September 21 (Mon.) to 30 (Thu.), 2021 at the Tsukuba International Congress Center and online.
