Today, Road Traffic Accident (RTA) is the leading cause of death in the younger generation, world-wide. Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs), such as Strokes and Ischemic Heart Diseases have shown an increasing impact on health status, globally.
Therefore, strengthening the capacity of Emergency Medicine (EM) is strongly needed and is one of the most pressing health issues in many countries.
In this session, Global EM leaders from Thailand, Laos, Taiwan, South Korea and Japan will present about the strategies toward solving the EM Challenges through Innovation. Moreover, we will establish the global network to achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by the multi-country collaboration.

Now as a leader of International Emergency Medicine, I lead global projects, especially in ASEAN countries focusing on the capacity building of EMS system.

I participated in the development process of our first crowd-sourcing app in Taiwan- "Taiwan Oh My Guard", which was launched in December 2018.

Now I act as Head of Integrated Epilepsy Research Group and chairman of Emergency Medicine Department of Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen university. I established stroke fast track system and networking in Northeast of Thailand.

- I graduated from University of Health Science of Laos in 1995. From 2002 to 2005, I was trained as resident in Anesthesia, Intensive Care and Emergency Medicine. I was promoted to be the deputy head of ICU in 2006 and become the board and the lecturer in the Society of Anesthesia, Intensive Care and Emergency Medicine.
In 2016, I was promoted to be the head of ICU. In 2017, I made the first curriculum of Emergency Medicine in Lao PDR, cooperated with the specialist of Health Frontier and now take responsibility on the Lao EM residency program.

Now, I am working as a member of Pan Asian Trauma Outcomes Study (PATOS) Clinical Research Network (CRN). I involved in several International collaborating projects on Emergency Medicine, such as Vietnam, Cameroon and Russia.
近年、開発途上国においては、交通事故死傷、心疾患、脳卒中等の非感染性疾患が急激に増加し、重要な保健課題となっている。一方、同地域の救急医療体制は未熟であり、その結果、招かれた外傷や急性疾病の蘇生率の低下、後遺症の重篤化は、同地域の健康寿命の短縮、貧困増大の主要な要因となっている。
本セッションにおいては、救急医療の「壁」をイノベーションを通じて打破すべく、挑戦し続けるグローバル・リーダーを国内外から招聘し、各国の課題解決に向けた戦略を御発表頂く。さらには、「救急医療×イノベーション」に関する専門知識を結ぶ国際的なネットワークを構築し、より安全・安心な社会の構築、地球規模課題の解決を目指す。
