To combat global warming we must transition to low carbon societies supported by cutting-edge science and technology. Since it is the young research talent of today that will become the research leaders of tomorrow, they must be the proactive drivers of discussions and head the initiatives that will make our ideal future a reality.
In this session, researchers engaged in international joint research will share their visions for low carbon societies and present what they have achieved so far. We will also invite various sectors and stakeholders to give their perspectives, including research funding organizations, venture capitalists and more, and together plan how to tackle our shared challenges and create more sustainable societies.
地球温暖化対策に求められる低炭素社会への転換に科学技術の貢献は必須であり、特に次世代を担う若手研究者が先導して、実現に向けた議論の上、これを実践していくことが重要となる。
本セッションでは、低炭素社会実現に資する国際共同研究に関わる研究者が、自身の研究でどのような社会を形成してゆくのか、そのために何ができるのか/今何をしているのかビジョンを共有するとともに、様々な異なるセクター（研究支援機関、ベンチャー企業、VCなど）を交えた多様な視点からの意見を交え、地球規模の課題に如何に挑戦し、持続可能な社会を作り上げていくのか、将来社会の主役による議論を行う。
