20th green revolution including the industrialization of chemical fertilizer has fed the human population, while the excessive use of chemical fertilizer has led to numerous environmental problems. In agroecosystem, plants and microbes coexist and adapt to environmental fluctuations such as climate and soil conditons. To reconcile the improvement of crop performance and reduction in environmental impacts in agriculture, we need to understand the functions of the complex plant-microbe-soil interactions behind the agroecosystem. In this session, we invited talented young researchers from different research fields such as plant science, microbiology, soil science and data science. Their research progresses and interdisciplinary discussions will be shared with our audience.
