Particle therapy has been getting worldwide attention, and many projects are started in Asia. University of Tsukuba has nearly 40 years experience in proton beam therapy, has been investigating advanced treatment techniques and has performed education of specialists of this field. One of the possibilities of future is to aim for synergistic effects by fusing with different techniques, and new ideas have been proposed. The session includes open lectures and discussions on the current state and future prospects of this field.
放射線がん治療はAI活用などによる技術進歩で改良が進んでいる。特に粒子線治療は世界的に注目され、アジアにおいても多くのプロジェクトが立ち上がっている。筑波大学は陽子線治療において４０年近い実績があり、先進的な治療法の開発、必要な人材教育を進めてきた。この分野の将来の治療技術の可能性の一つは、他の治療との融合による相乗効果を目指す方法であり、新しいアイデアも提案されている。このセッションは、公開講義と議論の形式をとり、専門家による現状の解説と、今後の展望について講義、議論を行う。
