The concept of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) has permeated every facet of our society, aiming to achieve the SDGs and advance Society 5.0.
In recent times, we've witnessed the emergence of numerous new initiatives and studies aimed at addressing the challenges faced by minorities, and their impact is extending beyond specific minority groups. This session will delve into such topics.
This session consists of two parts. In Part 1, we will discuss the impact of DE&I on innovation by inviting professionals and researchers who are at the forefront of addressing these social challenges. Additionally, we will introduce the activities of the 'Bureau of Human Empowerment,' established at the University of Tsukuba as a DE&I center. Our aim is to share knowledge with the audience and provide participants with a new perspective on potential solutions.
Part 2 will feature an exhibition of posters and other works on the themes of 'minorities and innovation' by young researchers and graduate students. Through meaningful dialogues between the presenters and exhibition visitors, we aim to help all participants experience the reality and embodiment of the abstract perspectives and insights presented in Part 1. Additionally, we seek to facilitate the formation of networks among the participants.

ダイバーシティ＆インクルージョン（Diversity and Inclusion）は、近年DE＆I（Diversity, Equity and Inclusion）と概念を発展させながら、SDGsやSociety5.0の実現に向けた社会のさまざまな側面に浸透しつつあります。そのなかで、近年ではマイノリティが直面する困難を起点として生まれたさまざまな新しい取組や研究が、マイノリティを超えて社会のさまざまな人々にインパクトをもたらす事例も増え始めています。
本セッションは２つのパートから構成されます。
第一部では、上記のようなDE&Iがイノベーションにもたらす影響を、社会の第一線で活躍する講師や研究者を招くとともに、筑波大学がDE&Iの拠点として立ち上げた「ヒューマンエンパワーメント推進局」の取組も交えながら対話を深めます。そして、それぞれの具体的な知見を共有することで、参加者一人ひとりが社会課題に対するイノベーションの創出に向けた新たな視点や気づきを得ることを目的とします。
第二部では、「マイノリティ」や「イノベーション」をテーマとした若手研究者や学生等の研究や取組に関するポスターや制作物の展示会を行います。展示する発表者と来場者とのリアルでの対話を通じて、参加者は第一部で得た新たな視点や気づきを確かなものとするとともに、参加者同士のネットワークの形成にも資することを目指します。
